The Carrivick Sisters
7.30pm Sat 22nd May 2020
Hartfield Village Hall
One of the UK’s top young bluegrass and folk acts, we are extremely lucky to have The Carrivick Sisters performing in Hartfield.
Twins Laura and Charlotte perform their original songs and instrumentals along with a few carefully chosen covers on guitar, mandolin, fiddle, dobro, and clawhammer banjo. Their busy touring schedule is rapidly building them a reputation for engaging and entertaining live performances with tight sibling vocal harmonies and multi-instrumental virtuosity. Having grown up in South Devon, an area rich in folklore and legends, much of their original material is inspired by their local surroundings and history.
As well as touring all over the UK, the Carrivick Sisters have performed at major festivals in Canada and mainland Europe. They have released five studio albums to much critical acclaim and airplay worldwide.

Here are just a few of HARTS recent events………
BLUE PLANET 3 – 29th February 2020
A packed Hartfield Village Hall was entertained by the acclaimed Bright Buoy Collective performing BLUE PLANET 3 – a tale of two idiots from the BBC attempting to make another series of David Attenborough’s famous programme. Lots of laughs with a serious environmental message.
Hartfield Live Nativity – 13th December 2019
A bumper crowd took part in Hartfield’s famous Live Nativity. The crowd followed Mary and Joseph trying to seek shelter in the village and culminated in a nativity scene in St Mary’s church complete with a real donkey, angels, shepherds, camels, kings……. A heart warming event with carols sung throughout and doughnuts and hot chocolate in the church at the end!
Paint Like Turner – 15th March 2019
Held on 15th March 2019, nearly 70 people packed into Hartfield Village Hall and happily daubed away, painting their own “Turner” paintings. A donation bar eased the creative flow and over £1000 was raised for local resident Karen Scott for her life saving operation. A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise this event and to everyone who came along.
Bowjangles – 20th September 2018
An amazing evening was had by all who came along to see Bowjangles – arguably the best string quartet in the world! HARTS hosted Bowjangles in the village hall which was packed out. Through a mixture of song and dance, the extremely talented Bowjangles told the tale of the Lord of the Strings style quest to find a mystical bow – Excalibow. Jokes and puns abounded and every musical genre was covered from ABBA to Pachelbel and Bowjangles received a thoroughly well deserved standing ovation.
